What Kalima Tauheed Teaches Us
Kalima Tauheed is the kalima of oneness. Tauheed is the most important belief in Islam: Allah is one in His being, His names and His actions. This kalima explains tauheed in detail: Allah has no partner, all kingdom belongs to Him, He gives life and death, He is Ever-Living, and in His hand is all good.
Because it is long, teach it to children phrase by phrase over several days. Begin with the first sentence, which repeats the words of the first kalima that they already know. Then add one new phrase each day. Discussing the names of Allah in this kalima, such as the Ever-Living and the Possessor of Majesty, deepens a child’s love for Allah.
